Art2Muse August Exhibition
Art2Muse presents Meredith Gaston, Charles Hebert & Alisa Teletovic at the Washhouse Gallery in Rozelle, Sydney 12th – 31st August 2008
Meredith Gaston is receiving international recognition for her enchanting paintings which are about telling stories, travelling and imagining - woven through recurrent themes of unusual animals, landscapes, and human relationships. Her travels in Italy and France are important creative references, and have in part inspired her paintings apparent in the warm, bold colours and the simplicity of form.
French Canadian artist Charles Hebert creates softly textured, layered paintings in oil on hand stretched canvas. He has been painting for over ten years and received private lessons from Guy Leclair, an American impressionist artist. His developed style is highly sought after by those who appreciate his technically complex, yet soothing artworks.
Alisa Teletovic’s figurative; naïve paintings reflect her life story of fleeing the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina to settle in Australia. Her subjects are drawn from childhood, imagination and memory, but in most recent times, are very much inspired by the Australian landscape, the colour, shapes and lines of the land. Alisa’s latest series of Emus in the outback are very popular for children.
